Today's Life: Insights, Analysis, Education

For the thoughtful parent, reflective professional, interested citizen, and curious mind. Evidence-based analysis for informed choices.

Our Philosophy: Information Without Instruction

We treat you as capable researchers making informed decisions, not recipients of prescriptive advice

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago"

The second best time is today.

Whether you're expecting your first child or reflecting on your parenting journey, it's never too late to build stronger family foundations with evidence-based information.

"No one thing has all the answers"

Everything has something to offer.

We present diverse, scientifically-grounded perspectives, encouraging you to research further and choose what resonates with your family's unique circumstances.

"Perfect parenting isn't perfect"

Real relationships include rupture and repair.

Understanding rupture and repair in relationships. Real family life includes challenges, and learning how to navigate and repair these moments strengthens family bonds.

Critical Thinking & Research

You are the expert on your family.

We encourage participants to verify information, use tools like reliable AI agents such as Perplexity, and develop their own informed perspectives based on empirical evidence and their family's needs.

Steve Young - Professional headshot

Steve Young brings over two decades of Family Safeguarding and Early Help frontline support experience, working collaboratively with families to achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes. His extensive background with a Local Authority in the East of England, combined with advanced therapeutic training, provides a unique foundation for evidence-based family education.

Steve's approach is grounded in respect for parents as capable decision-makers, providing scientifically-established information as a springboard for your own research and choices. This adult-to-adult methodology builds on existing family strengths rather than prescribing one-size-fits-all solutions.
